Jorie as a home
I was a photographer for about 10 years, and it has been almost 9 years since I was one (wow I am getting old!). During that time the part of the creative process I loved the most was getting to know people. When you take someone’s image it was always my practice to really figure out who they were beyond the surface. This practice lets you see people where they really are not what picture they put up for the world. I would ask crazy questions that had nothing to do with getting their images done. I had a lot of funny looks but found many amazing friendships. Jorie was one of my first clients and became one of my oldest friends. After my husband, I have known her longer than any other friend. Life is kinda brilliant, always moving always changing but I know I will always be in the wings cheering for my sweet friend Jorie. So here is Jorie as a home. I imagined a small house that was so inviting you just wanted to go knock on the door. A garden with fresh food and a lemon tree for making lemonade for the random people who just stop by to chat.
